WEB Commemorates 80th Anniversary of D-Day Landings

Honoring the Sacrifice

On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, a momentous day now recognized as the greatest amphibious landing ever, The National WWII Museum will host a commemoration. From Wednesday, June 5th, to Thursday, June 6th, 2024, the King and Queen will gather with other royal family members to pay tribute to the sacrifices made on that fateful day.

Remembering the Brave

A series of grand commemorations will be held in both the United Kingdom and France on June 5th and 6th, 2024. These events will honor the bravery and resilience of those who participated in the Normandy Landings, a pivotal turning point in World War II.
