On June 6th, 2024, European leaders, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, gathered at Omaha Beach, France, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Later in the day, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, joined heads of state at the beach to participate in the final event of the anniversary commemoration.
